Solar charger KV-50AM is a result of a compromise between reliability of the frame-based charging units (namely, their resistance against ultraviolet light, water and mechanical loading impact) and portability of the foldable ones. That is why KV-50AM is an excellent choice for tourists who travel by water or by car and use electrical devices. Even in cloudy weather this unit can easily provide charging of the majority of mobile phones, smartphones, MP3-players, iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, AA, AAA and CR123R batteries (which can then be used to power GPS, sonars, flashlights, mini-cameras). The power output of the charger is quite enough to charge the batteries for SLR cameras, video cameras, tablets and netbooks. In clear weather this unit is able to charge an average laptop.

The charge controller is designed using state-of-the-art digital technologies allowing the user to monitor the battery charge level (AGM12В with capacity from 20 to 40Аh), charge current and other important parameters on a real-time basis. All this information in readable form is shown on a monochrome LCD-display.

Similar to the lower class models of solar chargers you can directly connect the controller with devices powered from 5.2 V and 5.8 V via USB slot and devices powered from 12 V – via car cigarette lighter slot. Maximum load current is 7 A in case of connecting through car cigarette lighter slot and 1.5 A - via USB.

Also the unit has electric circuit protection against short circuit and overload.

If you need to charge a small video camera, but there is no access to the power grid nearby, solar charger of KV-10M series will certainly help you. But in case you require significant supply of electricity under bad light conditions it is better to switch to the description of devices belonging to the higher output class (KV-80TM or higher).
