In accordance with its abilities solar charging unit KV-90SM is a mini power station created for people who like to travel and live in campers.

During daytime these units are able to generate up to 900 Watt-hours of electricity giving an opportunity to provide 24 hour work for car cooling box and radio, turn on a laptop at times and use light and TV set in the evening. Apart from this you will be able to charge all kinds of small electronic devices. What is more important is that you will have all these conveniences without any noise, smoke, concerns about setting a fire, consumption of fuel and car engine resources. 

The charge controller is designed using state-of-the-art digital technologies allowing the user to monitor the current battery voltage (AGM 12V, capacity from 40 to 80 Ah ), charge current and accumulated battery charge on a real-time basis. All this information in readable form is shown on a monochrome LCD-display.

Similar to the lower models of solar charging units we can directly connect the controller with devices powered from 5.2 V and 5,8 V via USB slot and devices powered from 12 V – via car cigarette lighter slot. Maximum load current is 7 A (in case of connecting through car cigarette lighter slot) and 1.5 A (via USB).

And as usual the system has electric circuit protection against short circuit and overload.

The charging system is very convenient for carrying because it is designed in the form of a flat bag made of a hard-ware fabric, with a large pocket for controller and connecting cords. Solar cells are protected by a special tempered glass with high level of light transmission (this is the glass used in the frame-based solar modules operating in very difficult conditions). However, this module is slightly inferior to the frame-based one in terms of frame stiffness and water resistance.

Frame-based solar charging unit KV-80TM is devoid of the disadvantages described above because its glass surface is framed using high-quality aluminum alloy profile.

If you do not use any massive electronic equipment outdoors and every extra gram of weight matters, we recommend you to pay attention to the solar charging units with less power output. But in case you don’t want to deny yourself significant electric energy consumption you may move over to the description of charging units of higher output classes - KV-160AM .
